About Larissa Malcolm
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSOD, MSSA, LISW-S
We are living in scary and uncertain times. Isolation may be taking a toll on you. Or, if you were impacted directly by coronavirus fear, panic, shame, and guilt may be consuming your thoughts. Grieving the loss of a loved on during this new normal is unbearable. You’re arguing more, you’re sleeping too much or suffering from insomnia. You are eating too much or not enough.
If you were diagnosed with Covid-19, you are feeling uncertain about the future, you are scared to let people know and the people who you told have been less than helpful with their advice or comments. Shaming and blaming seem to go hand-in-hand with this virus. Are you afraid you passed it on to others? Then, guilt can be creeping into your life and keeping you from being happy.
I’ve been there. I can relate to your experience. I will be a listening ear as you process your frustrations and fears. We will work together to find ways to calm the your brain. If you are feeling depressed and isolated, we will work together to lift your mood. This is a hard time and you can do hard things. I believe in you!
During my career, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life: from helping families involved with public systems like Children’s Services and Juvenile Court; to assessing and treating inmates with substance use disorders and mental illness in the county jail; to counseling residents of long-term-care facilities as they adjust to loss of independence.
Reach out to me today for a free consultation, let’s see if I am a good fit for your needs. I can’t wait to hear from you!
